The Kine Exacta was a landmark in 35mm photography. It has become a must have for any camera collector, as it was the first viable single lens reflex 35mm camera. No cameracollectiopn should be without one particularly the pre-war versions. This video shows how it works and tells the history of the Kine Exacta production.

Hey you are still alive. Isn’t that something!!! Good to see you making videos again. Still as quirky as ever.

Great to see you back in harness again so to speak. Over the 2 or 3 years I have wondered how you are after being stuck in Hebden Bridge. Lovely place though it is - it's beauty and novelty might wear rather thin not knowing when you might be able to resume your journey. I hope that time wasn't too stressful for you with all its uncertainties of lockdown. All the very best to you and I look forward to more great videos.

You helped. Many youtubes on the various models. Many people have broken Exactas. It seems to trend from the long exposure knob. With my limited knowledge with a very recently acquired VXIIa with a custom viewfinder, when my crank won't crank, I open the body, and rotate the cassette drive and the gear drive next to it to the left a lot. Not just the cassette drive wheel, but both the cassette and the gears that get pulled when film is loaded into the cassette. Then i can move a stuck arm to pull cock position. However, it only likes being in B or 1/25th. That's fine. It's a display camera, and a beat looking Biotar is coming in the mail and I'm primed with everything under the sun to polish the aluminum it's made off. I mean everything. Whatever keeps me off the streets and out of the cafe's eating scones and coffee...and yes, with these items for polishing I'll be wearing a dust mask.

Great video and review of the Exakta, quick question I am finding it difficult to locate someone who can service Exakta shutter blinds as most of them I have come across have pinholes

Surprised you didn’t mention the Z and instead used B to explain the clockwork.
