Badass new Folding Dagger

The new Böker Atropos! As an enthusiast of knife design, Chuck Gedraitis is a name I have been familiar with for quite some time. I remember his phenomenal Marlin Swordfish Auto which was awarded “best of the rest” at Blade Show several years back.

Named after the Greek Goddess Atropos, the shape of this Gedratis tactical folder is modelled on Rex Applegate’s tactical knives (if you have a moment, look them up!). I love seeing modern interpretations of classic designs.

The VG-10 dagger blade has a lovely shape, and a false edge on one side (which, of course be sharpened to your liking if you want). This is a larger folder at 9.2 inches long and the micarta handle has some added machining on it to provide more grip.

I’ve been carrying a Gerber Rex Applegate folder for decades, now. Had saved up for a Benchmade in like ‘99 or ‘00, but they had a Gerber and I love it! I upgraded to the auto opening version, and it’s great.
