My thoughts on the nato thing since dummies are bitching about this shit: indipendent Scotland OBVIOUSLY wouldn’t leave Nato however they may abolish nuclear weapons in which case it would severely compromise Nato since Norway are also very anti-nuke. They would have no close base to the North Sea, where they need nuclear subs to intimidate Russian Nuclear subs.

As a Scottish man currently eating haggis with my bare hands looking over a glen, I can confirm every part of this video

I worked in scotland for a year and the locals always taught me beautiful words like "cunt" or "specky bam" and I loved it

I once was in Glasgow on holiday.

I shared a cab with a local Glaswegian woman and her husband. She unironically asked me the question "Holiday in Glasgow, are you mad?"

Peak Scottish locals.

Newcastle here. Can confirm that Scottish folk love this part of England. Two Scottish blokes delivering a fridge once tried to persuade me to come home with them in fact. (Absolutely true)

My experience in Edinburgh was pretty much bagpipes, Irn Bru, narrow streets with staircases and old lamps, the smell of cigarettes, awesome accents, amazing pub food, Arthur’s Seat and epic views of a city that has done a fantastic job preserving it’s history!

I miss it already

I'm Scottish. I've seen other guide to Scotland videos. This is by far the best one. Thank you for doing this powerful nation justice.
(P.S I'm from Glasgow, and if you want to stay alive there, don't mention the two big football teams starting with R and C. Thanks.)

As a Scot, i can confirm we are all ginger, wear kilts, tartan and carry claymores around with us everywhere while speaking In heavy Scottish accents chugging bottles of whiskey and gin (depending on your age, you might prefer irn bru but thats alright too) we are all friends with mary queen of scots and we all drive old, green land rovers, learn the bagpipes instead of maths at school and have shepherd dogs. We all own sheep and learn how to speak gaelic at school. We eat haggis for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We live on bothies on tall hills with long grassy fields. We occassionally take a trip down to the local villages to get porrige from the large supply on the village green.Absolutely true. Honourablee mentions: ed sheeran, lewis capaldi and ginger beer.

Scottish guy here, you got this 100% right, also thanks for the shout out to St Andrews, my uni town. We actually have a tradition called raisin weekend where basically academic parents give challenged to their academic children (parents being 3rd and 4th years children being 1st and 2nd) and one of the most popular challenges is 'butt's out at Butt's Wynd, ' where you have to, well....

I'm from Sweden and I've been all around the UK and Scotland has by far the BEST food of any region. The Scottish fish and seafood is among the best in the whole world. The traditional Scottish food is hearty, no nonsense but delicious, the ingredients are often of great quality. The veggies and berries are top notch, the beef and pork is great. Traditional dishes such as Haggies, tats and neeps, Cullen Skink, Aberdeen Butteries, Stovies, Rumbledthetumps, Scotch Broth, Partan bree, Mince and Tatties, Scotch pies are excellent. Well even a bloody oatmeal porridge can be sublime over there.

The main problem I think is that deep fried foods are the easiest to get hold of if you are in a rush - a chip shop is never far away. Thus it's very easy to overdose on the fried stuff. However the chippies are probably the best in the UK, so why the h* not.
The Whisky goes way down too easily too, when you have the variety you have over there.

As an Irishman living in Scotland, that's quite accurate. One discrepancy, but more accurate than any other portrayal

Been waiting for this one :) In Lewis (an island in the Highlands) they eat Guga, which is salted gannet and is considered a delicacy. The Guga Hunt which happens once a year off the north coast of the island has been a tradition for hundreds of years!
