The most misunderstood move is the entirety of Gabon.

So, Dr. Sean was a game changer - his alphabet strategy probably convinced Survivor production to mix up tribes better.

For a second video, you can talk about Erik giving the idol to Andrea in Survivor FvF2. People thought it was weird (since it is Erik after all), but he found it with other people, so he would’ve had a target on his back. Giving it to Andrea lessen any target he could’ve had, and it was useful since the majority alliance blindsided Andrea with the idol.

Willard looking like the immunity idol 💀

My #1 misunderstood moment is actually a different one from Palau: Ian's decision to jump off the final immunity challenge in exchange for his honor. A lot of people can't make sense of an aspect of the early seasons where a not-insignificant amount of players were out there for other reasons than the money or even to win. Ian didn't say it directly, but he definitely struck me as a "adventure of a lifetime" type contestant. And while I'm sure these people wanted to win too, I think we could clearly see that Ian was not someone cut out for playing the actual, ruthless game of survivor. He had a litany of inherent skills that made him fantastic at physically thriving on an isolated island. But by the end he seemed close to a complete breakdown from what had gone on mentally in the previous few episodes.

He reacted extremely poorly to the pressure cooker that is Survivor and we saw it with terrible moves like taking Tom on the car reward or refusal to lie about potentially writing Tom's name down. I think it's more than fair to say he felt what was best for him as a person was to get the hell out of there, rebuild the friendships he made (that supposedly still stand), and not get crumpled up by the shit storm that would have ensued if he won and had to pick between Tom and Katie. And even though it's a dumb GAME decision, I think most reasonable people should be able to see why it would be someone's optimal PERSONAL decision.

It's nice to see Caryn get her flowers with the Willard move. She's not a very good player, of course, but that's a very underrated move.

Awesome video!! For a second one, I think an option could be explaining Kass’s decision to flip on the brains in Cagayan, though I still waffle between the positives and negatives of that decision lol

Marty was an arrogant ass but he really doesn’t get the recognition he deserves for how strategically smart he was

Tai not using the idol on Scott is something you could talk about because there are two reasons Tai did not use it and the second reason is never talked about.
1: Aubrey convinced Tai to flip.
2: If Tai uses the idol, it is a tied vote and he would go out on the revote. He would literally get voted out if he used the idol on Scott.

Lol, I thought you were going to say people dogged on Peih-Gee and Jamie for **not** throwing the second challenge lmao. That was the dumb part. How on earth do people think throwing the first challenge was a bad move? It was pretty clearly great.

zhan hu chose to take james and aaron for the same reason mogo mogo chose to take ethan and jerri when saboga dissolved. mogo mogo finished first in that dissolve challenge and chapera for once only finished second, and so mogo mogo had control of the schoolyard picks. they chose ethan over rupert specifically because that meant they had control over how long ethan stayed around, even knowing chapera would take the obvious choice of rupert. mm then chose jerri for the same reason, so they could control her fate.

It still shocks me to my little Northern Irish core that we still haven't seen Marty back for a second time

Nice video! I'm happy I finally watched one where I had seen every season discussed!

Can you reiterate that line about how small the online Survivor community is, please? Because, holy crap, does the online Survivor community sure love to talk as if they're the overwhelming majority of the fandom.

I never thought I’d hear Caryn and ‘pretty smart’ in the same sentence.
