Those who don't know about this beautiful cruise ship,
The Costa Concordia was a ship from Italy . It was extremely expensive . It cost around 575 million us dollars. It sank in 2012(the year it was made )
The captain of the ship, the captain Shetino, wanted to meet his friend on an island where only 500 people live . But he just wanted to meet him so he broke his path . But he eventually didn't see a rock and passed it . The ship started letting in water and the ship tilted about 70° in 25 minutes . The lifeboats were not enough to hold the people . 33 people died . And this man was one of them . The captain went to jail for 16 YEARS!
But he deserved it . The company had to spend 2 billion dollars in total to save the ship.
It didn't sink completely because the hole came upwards and it just became an unusable piece of junk . But the company sold everything that was left from the ship and got 600 million dollars .

But the total spend money for the company was 1.39 billion dollars . In 2017, people who survived got their money back which was 4 million dollars
