Avoid Data Roaming Abroad | Travel Tips | 2022

I can’t believe how well this travel tip worked for avoiding International Roaming charges! I was able to use my phone the whole time I was in the UK & Spain using an eSIM instead of Roaming or messing around buying a local SIM (which would have been 3x the price!).

I heard about Airalo on TikTok & decided to give it a try for my most recent trip. I was a bit dubious - how could it be so simple and what if I don’t set it up correctly - I’ll go broke on roaming fees! It ended up working exactly as they said and was incredibly easy and smooth.

I would absolutely recommend Airalo for your next International trip, whether it’s a weekend in Vegas, a sun vacay to Mexico, a European adventure, African Safari, or any other trip abroad. Being able to use maps, look up landmarks, check bus schedules, and find the easiest route back to my hotel made my whole trip smoother.

I’m based in Ireland & when I go to Spain I put a Euro SIM card in my old iPhone 8 and tether my iPhone 15 from the 8’s data. It does require bulk in my pockets though (2 phones) 😅

Thank you so much for this video! With esims, you don’t get a phone number, right? So what do you do if you need to call a cab? Will you be able to use Uber with sim?
