This video was so helpful. I had such a hard time finding any videos about Aristotle that made any sense. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I think the Harry Potter music in the background is a little too loud, it makes the video difficult to watch from start to finish. But the lecture itself is satisfying :)

I am still confused on what the difference is of matter(potentiality, principle of individuation) with the accidents. Aristotle diagrammed it as substance opposite accidents, then matter and form are under Substance. Please enlighten me. Thank you very much.

Do you think that Aristotle solves the problem of the one and the many like the Trinity does? If not, why not? Thanks

Evolution is a problem for Plato's theory of forms. In that forms are not distinct. Is it a problem for Aristotle's theory?

I mean, even Neoplatonism has something similar to the Aristotlelian Form, however they still maintain an ideal form

Isn't the efficient cause flawed when compared to knowledge discovered in modern physics? The idea of causality seems to be throw out the window when were discussing quantum mechanics.

Matter cannot individuate: it (if it exists) is only bland stuff. Only form individuates. The "Accidental" qualities ARE the essential forms that makes the individual.

Wrong. Form in Aristotle is the same as form in Plato. Form is not shape and prime matter is not a kind of matter, but the receptable of forms; if you can perceive some kind of matter in any way then it's already not prime matter, but matter, as prime matter has no physical atributes in regards to perception or even to location.

We discovered by error that Plato is right but we call it now OOP Aristotle seems linear programming which is not practical..
