I just want to give some love to Tomorrow x3 from a non-gamer perspective ! The book isn't esoteric and the way they discuss games/game design was actually very interesting to a layperson like me. The larger themes were also written in a way that's meant to be widely applicable. I loved it and now recommend it to all my gamer and non-gamer friends alike :D

I think most book lovers are the same way with their TBR. I keep piling books that I have not started but want to get to, and then it just becomes essentially a bookshelf of its own 😮 it's a madness. But loved this video - thanks for sharing!

I bought Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow soon after it was published. I really enjoy the friendship between our two protagonists and how and why they met and what happens because of that. Half way in I thought it should be shared with my daughter, your age, a gamer as I am not! That was months ago. Unopened by her, I miss it, will take it back after I read my copy of your recc- Ladies of Pisan. Medieval Women take historical precedence to gamers. Thank you for that! In other vlog.

Wow, your shelf setup is so pretty!

Berlin Alexanderplatz has been sitting on my unread shelf for over a decade. I keep adding it to TBR stacks, but I STILL haven't read it yet. 😂

I recently started using a shelf by my bed just for soon-to-read books, lemme see what's on it... To the Edge of Sorrows; Indian Horse; Green Grass, Running Water; Palace of Desire; Keep the Aspidistra Flying; Snow; The Age of Innocence; The Bell Jar; The House of the Spirits; The Death of the Heart; and a couple of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine novels. And yet I'm currently reading 2 library books 😂 - Booth and The Dinner.

Severence is good. You should try to get back into it. The library hold on Lone Women came through today and I'll start it this afternoon. I keep 3 lists of TBR books: Classics, Contemporary Fiction, and Non-fiction. When I buy new books I add them to the lists with the date acquired. I find this system very helpful.

This is a great topic for book lovers. I'm always adjusting my piles. I have the nightstand pile, the beside the couch pile, and the pile in front of my book cases just waiting to be fitted in. I'm currently in a "good" status because I had company last weekend, but no doubt I'll soon have to go through the piles and tidy up. I love it though. Any time with my books is a good time. 😊

Ooh, Ling Ma sounds intriguing! As always, your videos grow my tbr 😂 I am so curious what you'll think of AOT!! 🤩 My tbr is kind of like yours- packed 🤣 I'm eyeing A Canticle for Leibowitz, Cloud Cuckoo Land, The Idiot by Elif Batuman, and The Priory of the Orange Tree.

Life was easier when I had to walk to a bookshop and couldn't order books and ebooks online! 🙂Torquato Tasso's 'The Liberation of Jerusalem' has just arrived, a bargain, like new, I hope I get into it more than the last owner! Thanks for that recommendation. I saw the author Kate Mosse this week (promoting her book 'Warrior Queens and Quiet Revolutionaries') and she mentioned her great grandmother's novels are out of print but 'The Vicar of Langthwaite' by Lily Watson is available, so that's arriving tomorrow. If only I read faster...

Looking forward to your thoughts on all these. Seems to me Marlon James' series lives on the border between fantasy and lit fic. I can see you appreciating both aspects. Happy reading!

I also want to have the TBR - all the TBRs - visible. I have come to accept it. What I do is place the finished books where I CAN'T see them: closets, high shelves, in boxes, even donated.

Hey Jennifer! Love your videos! I remember reading or seeing Marlon James saying that you can start with the second book, Moon Witch Spider King! You don't have to read the first one before it, and in fact it might be beneficial to read the second one first because it gives more foundational background and context to the world or story. I'd been planning to start with the second one if I ever read the trilogy
