I had just happened to notice the Summit was discontinued so I grabbed one at the discount price. I don't usually buy duplicates but I really like the Summit.

The Gem was very quietly on the market for 2 years 6 months, pretty impressive in today's market. I only say "quietly" because it was way more popular for the tournament bowler than the 99%. Still an impressive run!

The Summit is my favorite ball. I was in shock when it got discontinued. I guess what's trash for everyone else is treasure for others.

One of the kids on our high school bowling team just bought the max. Omg it is amazing. It is very continuous even when you open the angles.

Not surprised any of them are gone. The Gems were just too smooth for the house shot for the average bowler, and for whatever reason the Summit never made a connection. I threw the original and new Summits, and it's a ball a lot of average house bowlers should like... but like so many other balls out there, it never got the traction and died on the vine.

I'm really surprised the summit got discontinued. I'm only one guy, but I've bought two of them, one to replace the first one I bought. I still love it, and it's still a staple in my bag. When it dies, I guess I'll have to figure out another ball to replace it when it happens.

The Gem is still a very impressive ball. My teammate in league is still tearing up the lanes with his Gem, including 696 a few weeks ago. And last week the other team's anchor shot 280 with it.

I bought the new Phaze 4, a week later they banned it. I decided to buy the Phaze 2, and recently bought the Zen. They work very well for me. Hopefully the Phaze 2 doesn't get discontinued. Many bowlers have and like that ball.

Hey Luke I was looking at the discounted list and I seen the Gem, and Exotic Gem, but I’m not able to find the Magic Gem on that list. Can you point me in the right direction?

Gem was a real workhorse, so the Ion Max has big shoes to fill. But from the little I've seen it's promising. Summit was a hard sell here. Everyone defaults to the Phaze 2. Definitely different in my eyes, but most people don't see that, and the P2 is just familiar to them.

I just entered the market for a new ball to replace the #2/#3 spot in the bag. I was considering the summit but everytime (sample size is small) I touched it the ball seemed lazy for me.

Eh. Curious to see what comes next but I do think we've seen all the new announcements done considering the league season is getting rolling.

Hi Luke, how are you? You always do a good job with these videos but I have a question. I wash your comparison between the summit and the phase 2 and other videos too. They seem similar to a point for that true benchmark ball. Do you think that was part of the reason why they got rid of it? They don’t want the exact same/too similar of a ball reaction for somebody’s bag?

Another question I thought of was these are with new bowling balls that have been released/going to be releasing between the sublime focus and the storm summit ascent ascent. Those two particularly look kind of similar symmetrical and solid. Could you or somebody or do know somebody that has done a comparison between those two they seem very similar.

I will say for sure the ion max is the new proton physix. even though in my opinion, based what I’ve seen on ball reaction, it was that perfect strong ball without being too strong like the gem. I’m going to make a prediction and I’m kind of surprised by this when they came out with the absolute power, it’s a good ball on reaction, but in my opinion, it kind of like the reality when you think of a strong asymmetrical bowling ball heck, I will say there’s about the ball reaction on this all new X-cell it’s way too clean for an asymmetrical solid. I think they will get rid of the absolute power very soon. I hope they do this. This ion Max is a true asymmetrical solid on ball reaction.
