About Marty Ray Project:

Im just a singer/songwriter that God put here to sing and write songs of life, encouragement, and joy that some people like, maybe you're one of them. Listen and see! I was born in Memphis, TN and raised in Blytheville, AR then moved back to Memphis, TN then moved to Nashville, TN. I come from a long line of singers and musicians that I have always looked up to; now some of them look up to me because of my fans. I have performed with people from Vanilla Ice to 38 Special and I'm always looking for my next show.

With a voice like this,
With a song like this

You don’t just hear the song
You don’t just listen to the song

*you feel the song*

If this doesn't humble you, and bring a tear to your eye, check your pulse. You might be dead.
One of the BEST versions I have heard of this song.

"She broke your throne, and cut your hair." The words echo down the halls of time.

Your voice got me through a lot in my life.I lost my husband 4 years ago and he had been in a wheelchair for a long time.5 days after his death I found your version of Dancing in the Sky.I guarantee I listened to that song 1, 000 times and it did so much to aid my healing from his loss.Bless you and all you do

First cover in ages that sounds like an actual lamentation instead of a joyous religious song. Thank you for doing such an amazing job with this, it touched my soul.

Few people can sing this song and make you stop and listen. You have been blessed with an incredible voice and range, I hope to hear more from you.

Between Cohen's Live in London performance, Buckley's recording and this right here...all three perfection.

Voice is so haunting yet so warming, like an angel in disguise. So good to hear someone with raw talent and not all the auto-tune mayhem. Discovered this by accident and makes 2020 feel a little better

Well I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
But baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
You know, I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do ya
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

The people who disliked this wouldn’t know talent if it walked up and slapped them. I just found your channel and I’m amazed with every cover you’ve done. Amazing voice and so much emotion
