If you only knew what Freddie went through physically in order to deliver this “swan song” performance. It’s chilling to know what Freddie was battling and gave his fans one last epic vocal performance IN ONE COMPLETE TAKE! I love this song for those reasons. Thank you for getting around to this one!

"I'll face it with a grin. I'm never given in. ON WITH THE SHOW!" That's all you need to know about this amazing performer.

God, Freddie’s been gone 30 years now and this song STILL wrenches my heart out. True greatness.❤

As some one who suffers with two chronic illnesses that cause pain, nausea and extreme exhaustion, every time I think I can’t do something, I think of Freddie, literally dying of AIDS and barely able to walk, slamming back a glass of vodka and telling Brian “ok I’m gonna f*cking do it.” And recording this song in one single take. Then I get up pull myself together and do what I need to do. I have the word “darling” tattooed on my wrist in his handwriting from a letter he wrote to his fan club the year I was born. Looking at it in my hardest moments or before the multiple surgeries I have to undergo for my illnesses gives me strength and makes me feel that he is with me always in my fight.❤

So sad to think how sick Freddie was when he recorded this tune. Just a masterful performance, with his heart ❤️ and soul poured into it. It was recorded before he had publicly announced his HIV/AIDS diagnosis. Hauntingly beautiful. RIP Freddie. ❤️ Great reaction.

Freddie was literally on his death bed when Brian wrote this. Brian didn’t think he’d pull it off but Fred shot down some vodka and fuckin did it anyways. LEGENDARY

My favorite bridge of all time. "My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies, fairy tales of yesterday grow but never die. I can fly my friends!" Gets me in my feels every time.

A great showman to the last. Despite the wasting away of his life's breath, his priority was to continue up to the last moment to celebrate life in general and to perform which was his purpose he was put on this earth to do. R.I.P. Freddie. You left us wanting more.

After Freddie died and listened to this to me it seemed like a farewell/swan song. It brought tears to my eyes all the time, he gave such a performance vocally that I felt so broken after listening to it. Freddie was phenomenal in every way, such a performer, his presence on stage was out of this world. No one could outdo Freddie, he was the best.

Another Queen masterpiece that I think y'all will love is "Who Wants to Live Forever". Although the official video is good I would highly recommend that y'all watch their "Live at Wembly" performance. Freddie is absolutely magnificent. Have tissues on hand.

7:00 - Scientists actually did a study a few years ago, looking at Freddie's voice and what made it so iconic and unique that so many people consider him one of the greatest singers ever. There's more to it than this, but the general reason is that Freddie's voice always retained a baritone vocal quality, even when singing near the top of his range.

Freddie had a wide vocal range that went from low baritone all the way up to high tenor. That isn't all *_that_* uncommon in and of itself; many talented singers have ranges that are equally big or even bigger. However, most men with similarly wide ranges naturally sound more baritone/bass-like as they get lower, and more tenor-like as they get higher.

Freddie didn't. He always sounded like a baritone, even when singing way up in the tenor range. But not like he was straining to hit the notes... it's just that the timbre of his voice stayed the same. You can see it in sound wave illustrations in the study. It's wild, and really pretty unusual.

4:38 I always gets goosebumps when I see that helicopter view of the Queen's fans together for a live concert ! Historical !

"My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies, fairy tales of yesterday grow old but never die - I can fly my friends!" - gets me every time 😢❤ I heard that to get past the pain for hitting the high notes he just knocked back a vodka and pushed through to get the track done. An amazing front man, and an amazing individual - RIP Freddie, gone far too soon 👏👏👏👏❤❤

How Freddie made it through this final recording is amazing. Knows he will soon be gone but still has the fight in him for one more go.

Freddie gave it 100% to the very end. While his vocal got a bit thinner during his final days, Freddie never lost his power, spirit or passion as he goes out with a spine-tingling "I'm never giving in, on with the show!" Between this one, the title track "Innuendo" and "These Are The Days Of Our Lives", Queen were still releasing some of their best stuff right to the end. Great reaction guys!
