I keep forgetting that Team Sky is supposed to be evil, so every once in a while Mikey will say something about loving violence and I'll be like "WHAT?! Oh wait, he thinks he's evil."

I'm waiting for the day when Mikey is sucked into a time vortex and gets sent to ancient Sinnoh to create Team Sky in the Legends: Arceus game. Wait, if that does happen wouldn't that sorta make Team Sky canonically the FIRST evil team in Pokemon game history?!

I love how team sky really isn’t that evil, he just goes around stopping other teams and does eco friendly projects that help the atmosphere like protecting the sky: he’s not an evil leader HES A SKYDIOS DAMN VIGILANTE!

I do appreciate that although Mikey won't use Empoleon in his team, he's willing to spend precious time and money to make sure that he can buy it a jetpack so it can experience flight. Most evil teams only care about the legendary Pokemon and how that legendary Pokemon can lead them to glory. Clearly Team Sky is very close with all Pokemon they choose to befriend, even going out of their way to let flightless animals experience the air if they find out that they don't have that ability naturally. Truly the best villain team of all time.

I love how from a lore perspective, Mikey is basically bullying children who just wanted to have a fun Pokémon journey just because their names relate to water or earth

I like to imagine that Customs took Mikey's Pokemon for two reasons. One, he'd be too powerful for the region to handle with them. Two, they are bored and want to see an awesome adventure unfold.

I'm rewatching this and I suddenly imagined how Mikey would react in a Sun/Moon playthrough and evolves his Rowlet all the way to Decidueye and see it LOSE its flying type. Mikey, do a Sun/Moon playthrough! Conquer the skies of Aloha!
