this was the saddest scene. ali won the marble game fair and square and sangwoo didn’t want to lose so he took advantage of the trust and friendship that had formed between them. ali deserved to win.

You can see all the pain in his eyes... He was so innocent. And the fact that he had a 1year old son makes it even worse

For the people calling calling Ali stupid, most viewers wouldn’t expect the rocks to be in the bag. They sounded exactly like marbles and Ali trusted sang-woo so much

What is more sad, is that his family will never learn if he died and how. For them he just disappeared.

When Ali looked at the rocks, you can see his life flash, the betrayal, the lost of his wife and kid who will never know what happened to him, it all rushed into his head and you can see that in his tears….. rip Ali you were one of my favs

He didn’t just call out his name. He shouted “big brother.” He trusted him deeply.

Perfect scene. The piano, ali's realization that he was betrayed, and sangwoo's reaction to the shot. Amazing acting and directing.

He was always my favourite character, he didn’t even look in the bag to check, he trusted Sang-woo that much. I knew his huge kind heart would be the death of him, but his death still totally broke me, especially since a few minutes after this scene the “Kang Sae-byeok! Thanks for playing with me.” scene happened, doubling the crying.

I almost wish Ali didn't know he got betrayed. The part that breaks me is the fact that the last time we see him, he isn't even really panicking about the fact he's going to die. He's just hurt that the person he trusted the most took advantage of his kindness, and is the reason he'll never get to see his family again.

Hypothesis here, he didn’t cry because he was about to be killed, he cried because he trusted sang woo

This episode broke me. I loved Ali, I knew his kind heart would end up killing him. Beasts like sang woo prey on kind people like Ali. It’s not fair.

Every major characters death was foreshadowed in previous scenes… Ali’s was with his previous employer who also manipulated him. This death hurt the most for me because he’s a genuinely good man. He’s just gullible and easily taken advantage of.

Ali was so innocent to sang woo they promised that they would get out alive. If he looked in his well sang woo’s pouch earlier then he would of saw the stones

And the fact that he even called him sir shared his corn with him just to be betrayed....

Sad thing is that most people were in the games because they messed up in their lives, spent money they didn't have, took out loans they could never repay.

Ali was there because he got scammed out of his money and he was trying to provide a better life for his child. He was a good soul
