I hate when gold is added to food. Literally does nothing. Just a weird flex.

Gold leafing a sandwich. That’s just more money than brains. It’s ridiculous.

That buttery stuff, my friends, would be the A5 Wagyu. Little lesson for y'all:
Japan has a grading system for meat on a scale of 1-5. 1 being the worst, 5 being the best. With that, the 'A' part is the 2nd part of the grading system. You can have a B5, an A2, etc, etc. A5 basically just means that the streak has INCREDIBLE marbling (i.e. fat to meat ratio, so the higher the marbling, the higher the fat), meaning that the 'butter' is really just all that fat. As a wise man (Guga) once said, "Fat is flavor!" All in all, A5 wagyu is a crazy experience, an expensive one, to be sure, but an incredible one at that. But, just saying, all that other stuff was completely unnecessary. The gold, all that stuff. Wagyu on its own can take a dish from a 3 to a 10 in seconds, that’s how good it is.

Why was it so satisfying to hear "butter" pronounced with an English accent? 😂 Cheers from the US!

"It's got A5 wagyu in it"
"I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS "

I have never understood why anyone would want to eat gold.

The gold has no flavor or texture. It adds absolutely nothing to food. It's just an excuse to increase the price for no reason.

For people who don't know, wagyu beef is a prized type of beef that comes from cows that are very well taken care of in Japan. There's extra fat marbling the meat so a bite will literaly melt in your mouth.

that gold leaf is barely worth shit but they increase the price a lot. that's why it looks like a normal steak sandwich which it is. just a really cheap gold leaf added on to it

Same energy as eating a sandwich without unwrapping it

Nope. I have grass fed beef from a local rancher. Humanely dispatch and packed here. Better than any meat, anywhere. The price per pound is less than buying for dinners out and stores.

No sandwich should be worth that much tbh

That war fighter just reached for a mag that we couldn't pay.

Ah, gold leaf. It has no flavor. You can't digest it. And they sell it to rich people like it's worth something.

Wagyu beef is from Japan made of a specially bred and raised beef that has especially rich fat marbling in the extra tender beef. A full side of a Wagyu cow can cost easily upwards of 3000$US each. Of course, not all of the side can be used so the usable meat is a small portion of the whole side, thus raising the cost per usable pound to ridiculous levels. Like 175$US for less than a pound (12 oz) or about 233$/pound (16 oz). Normal beef like top sirloin costs about 33$US per pound (16 oz). Even the "low grade" Wagyu still costs 36$/pound.
