This is a GNTX-461. This mirror comes in a lot of different cars, from Toyotas, Fords, to McLarens. There are different variations of the 461. There’s some that don’t even have a button or green light, like this one. There’s some that have the off / on button and light. And there’s some with a compass and thermostat built in! The car manufacturers tell the mirror companies what they want, and don’t want in their cars.

I replaced my roof wire harness cause it was cut somewhere, after that my mirror never work again. The power comes to the wire but it doesn’t power the mirror. I tested another mirror that also doesn’t light up the little led green light on the mirror

Hey man is the passenger side mirror auto dims to? Bought a use t&c i dont know if its broken or not. Only thing that dims is the driver side and rear view.
And how bout the side mirror when backing up only left side mirror going down is that normal? to?

I’ve driven 6 different vehicles with these automatic dimming mirrors and none of them have ever worked. 6 different drivers in my family have all come to the same conclusion. I’ve tried the demonstration that you show in the video and I’ve never ever noticed any change in the mirror.

It is so frustrating to be driving at night and because these minors don’t work, I am continually blinded by the headlights of the cars behind me. I would much rather have a manual dimming mirror and simply flip the lever to dim the mirror.

My current thinking is that this feature is similar to claiming that one of the available options on the car allows the car to float over heavy traffic. Of course a floating car is fiction. As is an automatic dimming mirror.
