To whomever did the title of this VOD, quick correction:

Billy basso made the game & Dunkey published it. Dunkey didn't make the game. He just put it on digital store shelves & advertised it. Basso made the actual art, music, programing & gameplay. Just wanted to nake that correction real quick.

You say that this is “matpat selfish content times, ” but cute, chill puzzle/platform games are my (and I’m sure others’) absolute favorite. Personally, I couldn’t be happier to have something nice and chill to keep me company while I study or code. It may not do numbers like other content, but that does not make it selfish or worse. You choosing to play games like this gives them exposure, and it lets people like me discover amazing little games to play and support. You are retired; make your so-called selfish content. Make content of the things you love, always, and encourage others to do the same - no analytics can change how much you love a game, and that’s all that we really want to see anyways.

For Ash, you might want to consider turning on God Mode in the Hades option menu, its a nice way to make the game a little easier each run by making you take less damage the more you die. Obviously if you want the baseline experience then dont, but its a good option to look at if you're struggling to get past Meg.

I have a funny story about Lily's Well as well Ash!
When I watched the Lily's Well play-through, i really liked the game and thought the puzzles were really clever, so it was on my mind a lot. Then a few days after had to sit the NAPLAN test (Which in Australia is a national survey test-ish thing that certain grades in school have to do) and the prompt was to 'write a story about discovery'. (TW if you don't like kidnapping n stuff) And in that moment, thinking of the play-through, little me decided to write a horror story about how a women went canoeing, at a sketchy place (ancient artifacts not at all related to canoeing), where something hit her canoe, she blacked out, and woke up tied to a wall with a cult then just standing around her with candles and surrounded by the 'oily hair' from the game, where she then snapped back to the canoe with the instructor staring at her with a creepy smile. Even from then she didn't know if it was real or not but she had rope burns on her wrists and ankles.
I really feel sorry for the person who had to mark that... But I had a lot of fun writing about it.
