IBKR Web Platform Guide | Options Trading

This video gives a basic tutorial and run down of the Interactive Brokers web based platform. It has received many updates recently and now has an options chain and strategy builder. We showed examples with some new tools that were added including the home tab insights, managing watchlists, viewing individual quotes and placing option combo orders. We also went through some of the new analytics including the markets tab and the events calendar. Toward the end of the video we showed settings that we think are important in the user and account settings.

Great Video as usual from IBKR on options of any use! More videos on this as it's much easier to place Vertical Spreads etc like this!

Thanks so much for this great tutorial. I just wanted to clarify something you said. If I wanted to execute a credit spread where I am collecting a credit on the two option legs, I have to buy the order? I find that a little confusing.

As you have mastered the IB platform, can you tell me it is possible to have my entries of the same stock visible as separate lines, so that when I want to sell the specific amount of stock i can select it and sell it easier?

How do I make the prices of both put and calls get displayed on the “options chain” panel ? Mine isn’t displaying.

Hi Mr. Verrillo. As a fellow Canadian trading options, I like using my own charting software and only use the web platform for transactions. Questrade has a very good interface, clean and very quick to set modifications, etc of options. But the fees are horrid. How would you set this up with the IBKR web interface: A quick buy/sell/limit order and open/closing options positions purely from the web? Thanks for your videos. Some of the best I've seen on IBKR!
