I think the diesel V8 did work well with these larger Audi’s. The Diesels don’t work in the S4, 5, 6 and 7

Wow, this was a well detailed analysis between the SQ7 and SQ8,

For and my family needs, I would go with the more practical Q7, because I already have one 😝

The Q8 is nice and sporty, but I want my 3rd row seating and extra cubic space with the Q7

nice to have these two compared and reviewed! Is it me or does SQ7 have a bit more vertical windshield, the windshield seems a bit more upright. That would make SQ8 more of a "bunker" feel whereas SQ7 closer to a BMW X5 driver overview. Dare I say SQ7 has a more sovereign seating position for the driver? ...oh, ok. just heard you say that at 45.35

My bet is that the difference in the slalom is the steering rack ratio is more aggressive in the SQ8

excellent. love the long time spent putting them next to each other, and then from different angles too. MAYBE, down the road, we could get a driving-handling comparison between SQ8, GLE 53 AMG Coupe, and X6 M50i. Not so much acceleration - which they all have plenty of - but driving, handling, steering. Who comes closest to Porsche from this group? In what sphere? Just a suggestion - you guys are obviously busy enough. I watched Autogefuhl reviews of GLE 53 AMG coupe and of X6 M50i, and now this SQ8.

The usual brilliant and informative review of these two cars by Thomas. I think he is the very best reviewer on Youtube....and also he is a very attractive guy ! I purchased a new 55TFSI Q8 in September 2020. It is a very fine piece of automotove engineering but I do wish now that I had gone for a new SQ8. The 340 bhp V6 engine in the 55TFSI is a fine smooth power unit but the car is very heavy and I do feel it needs just a bit more power. Add in the dreadful hesitation on pick up that seems to affect all new Audi engines. So, I am now looking to bite the bullit and purchase a new SQ8 for the new 71 plate reg in September .

I believe Audi SQ7 and BMW X7 are the best compare with Mazda - CX9 and Hyundai - Palisade but the problems are not available the maintenance with spare parts same like in to many countries in Middle East 🤔

Finally they get rid off from slow diesel engines !! Good to know Audi accepting they’re mistakes, wish they continue S4-S5-S6-S7 with petro engines
