Thank you for this, thought I was going crazy last night when doing my first build.I felt like it was really blocking my motherboard (B450 Tomahawk) to the point the board was slightly off from the standoffs. I just had to push in a little bit and then screw them in simultaneously. From the comments about shorting the board from the prongs, I am now going to re-check that none of those metal prongs are inside any of the ports.

I/O Shield was the part that gave me the most trouble. Wasn't installing it, or forgetting it, or anything. The tabs just would not let the motherboard go into the slots smoothly. Took about two hours before we just ripped the troublesome tabs off. Computer was built for a friend and he's had it working fine for years now, so I guess it worked out in the end.

This helped a lot, we had the grounders pointing in thinking they were supposed to secure the motherboard or the port or something haha.
