I'm thinking good ending more realistic as Hero already passed his tragedy and of course he will very angry and cut connection for while with Sunny and Basil but after some time sooner or later will forgive them considering how long time past after Mari's death 4 years and how Sunny and Basil's both was young age during that tragedy and crime and how much they with friends and he already suffered after her gone and understand after all Mari didn't wanted her friends and brother stagnated in this constantly grief and hatred and for Mari's memory and his good memories past Hero rejoin his friends and Sunny and Basil and with some time forgive them. It's more realistically scenario for me.
