No one every talks about all the software that just comes with Mac. I just built a pc for gaming and I had to buy/rent Microsoft Word and Excel for school. My Mac comes with Pages, Numbers, or things like Time Machine, Disk Utility, Network Utility. The amount of apple software that you get out of the box, not to mention macOS and most of it is actually good if not great.

just got myself a mac mini with 16 gigs of ram for school (I'm studying video editing and programming) and its been an amazing performer. Its got the snappiness of a phone and the multicore performance of a high-end desktop

I have had zero issues with my 8GB M1 Mini. Amazing machine, especially at this price point.

Bought the basic Version after I see a test video and never regret it. Music production with Logic Pro is a charm....Complex tracks and CPU is at 20% load and the fan is on idle :)

I sold my DIY PC because I plan on moving and got the Mini thinking it would be a good temp PC but its performance is so good that I plan to continue using it.

Watching this on my Mac Mini. Lol Max Tech convinced me to get mine and I've been completely in love with it. During normal usage, watching zoom lectures, and programming for my classes, I have never heard the fan turn on even once since I got it back in November!

I’m new to Mac coming from Linux. Bought the mini this week. Surprised how buggy and glitchy the OS is. The Bluetooth is not fixed entirely in 11.2. But, for now, I’m enjoying the new experience 👍

Bought the 16GB Mac mini M1 with 512 GB SSD. As a programmer (using web development tools and docker), it has been able to handle practically anything I use without fuss / noise from the fans. Blazing fast and overall very happy with the purchase.
A few notes:
- I just did the Software Update last night and I am still experiencing issues with bluetooth. Especially with my sony wh-1000xm3 headphones, I seem to lose connection for a couple of seconds once / twice an hour. Super annoying if you are on a zoom call and have to ask the other folks to repeat themselves
- In hindsight sticking with the base 256 GB SSD and saving $200 would have been a better value for me. I overestimated how much storage I might need.
- I have 3 external monitors (only one of them is 4k HD). When I tried, either of the USB-C ports worked with the monitor but only one monitor at a time. I had to connect the other monitor using HDMI. So I have one monitor collecting dust. I really don't want to plunk down more money to expand ports and wish Apple can fix this with a software update.
- Overall having a dedicated space makes it easier to transition from laptop to the mini and it is much better value

I'm very happy with my 16GB/256GB model. I'm going to solve the lack of ports with a docking station that also acts as a storage expansion. All in all it's the best computer I have ever owned.
