I just realised our countries version of Sorry is more competitive and fun. We use a normal deck of cards and We get 5 cards each. And throughout the game u must always have 5 cards, so drop a card to move then pick up a card from the deck. You can leave the circle with Aces, Jokers, and 2's. The 2 acts like a 6 in a dice game. Which means u get 2 turns to move. Note that if there are no more pawns in the circle, then the unlocking cards ( aces, Jokers and 2s) can be used to move. Aces and Jokers move 1square and 2s move 2 squares with a bonus move. There are no 9's and 6's. We use kings as the sorry cards, and u may only use it when one of your pawns has reached home. So the Sorry cards (Kings in this case) are basically useless unless u have one pawn in the home circle. The 4's are only backward movements, so when u drop a 4, u move back 4 squares. A 10 can be used to move back 1 square, or move up 10 squares. The 7's is a split move card, which means u can move a total of seven squares split among only and any 2 of your pawns.(eg, pawn 1 can move 3 squares and pawn 2 moves 4 squares). The jack is a switch card, which means u can swap places between your pawn and anyone elses in the game OR you could move 11 squares forward (which is considered a waste of such a powerful card) This version is a team game, which means ur team mate is the one sitting opposite from u. Once you have all your pawns in your home circle, u can then help your teammate. (You are now also controlling your team mates pawns) but the same rules apply for the "Sorry cards".

I just purchased this game because I used to play it as a kid, and I might as well enjoy it now as an adult. Those sliding spaces. No matter what color you are you can slide on those spaces

Ive also just realized youre supposed to play with cards. My whole life ive never seen or heard anything about cards with Sorry. We just used dice. Dice that at the time i had assumed came with the box.

4: Move back 4 steps but not if move to safety zone
10: Move 10 spaces or a space back
11: Swich places or move 11 spaces
7: Move 7 spaces or split the move between 2 pieces
