I kept this at my previous home and I really liked it. I remember it growing quickly which I liked.

I planted one in my yard this spring. It grew big with lots of flowers in August and September but no fruits. Could it be an infertile hybrid? Or does it need another plant to cross-polinate? In any case, we'll see if it survives the winter, if not, I took cuttings that are not rooted in plastic cups. They took freeze damage after a hard freeze of about -3C/-4C so I guess they just grow back from the ground?

I also tried passiflora caerulea. I planted three of those, and only one of them flowered. They grew 20ft tall though. They're supposed to be hardy to zone 6/7 ish... I'm in 6b so we'll see how that goes. The vines survived the first hard freezes unlike passiflora incarnata, surviving down to -8C. It's only with the -15C temperatures on Dec 23 that the leaves were damaged. So there too, we'll see if the vines survive (so far, hard to tell if it's just the leaves or also the woody vines that are damaged), or if it'll come down to whether the root system can survive a Zone 6-7 winter as advertised. There too, I took cuttings just in case.
