How much do passion fruit vines grow?

If you're thinking about planting a passion fruit vine (which we HIGHLY recommend), make sure you know what you're getting into.

This plant has been in the ground for almost four years now, and it's become an entire wall AND ceiling. We love it and had exactly this vision in mind, but know that it will sprawl a lot.

It's probably not a great fit for people with limited growing areas, but it makes a fantastic fence or natural patio cover.

This is my first summer with passion fruit. I grew mine in my room over the past autumn and winter. It went outside on it's trellis at about 12 feet long just this morning.

Im hoping to find established passion fruit vines in a nursery so that I have growth quicker to cover an outdoor metal grate cat enclosure Im building off my bedroom window. I need shade for my room, cat enclosure, and 200 gallon pond that going into the cat enclosure. Im so excited for this next step and I hope my plants become as lush and beautiful as yours! I have been told they are an aggressive growers. Im still new to growing plants have a few typical house plants doing decent a few baby rubber trees, monstera, snake, pothos, etc so Im excited to try growing some outdoor plants in grow zone 9b/10a depending on who you ask. When they are younger do they burn easily? Growing outdoors here has been difficult with the intense sun and strong winds we experience here.
