The one I got at Costco was 90/10 so I think it varies really just on what they get in. Still a fantastic deal for beef.

Costco meat boy here, he gave you the bull meat chub, I dont know why. Next time ask for a tube of Fine Grind, that'll be your 88/12. The bull meat is super lean and not really meant to eat like ground beef, its our base for grinding hamburger in the shop where we add our fat trimmings from the butcher block. I can imagine the bull tube to be very strong tasting.

they have 5 pound bags of "beef chubs" which is just 90%+ lean ground beef in the freezer

That’s bull meat. That’s a 96/4 mixture. You need the fine grind tubes. Those are 88/12

I actually just thought about doing that this week! I was looking at our finances and did the math and I spend around $6-700 on HelloFresh and extra groceries outside of it for breakfast and lunch for me and my wife. It ends up coming out like $3-400 dollars cheaper for us to buy the 10+ lb of ground beef, 1 package of chicken breast and 1 package of boneless chicken thighs per month with breakfast and lunch items included!

Except I’ll be getting mine from Sam’s since Costco seems to be more expensive

Just get regular fresh packages. Theyre cheaper per lb, theyre packaged better, they have a bit more fat(thats a good thing), and it tastes much better since theyre made of these plus meat trimming

They have great canned yellowfin tuna, roasted peanut butter and can't ever forget about the rotisserie chicken .

If you don’t have a Costco near you, WildFork delivers ground beef at near Costco prices, and it’s freezer ready. Just resist the neat upsells that are on there.

At sam’s i get a 4.7 lb pack of 88 12 for like 4.20 per and similar amount of chicken thighs at similar price, and i portion into equal portions for 20 days at a time

Yo I get my ground beef from Costco. Right behind you in the frozen section near the meats, you can find five 1lb. tubes of 85/15 ground beef for $4 a pound, sold in one big bag

Curds and whey (cottage cheese) is the way to go. Natural whey protein that’s cheaper than powder with tons on B vitamins, calcium, and fatty acids great for bone, muscle, and connective tissue health.
