A really interesting concept would be what if Germany never annexed Alcase-Lorraine? Bismark himself was against it. And it would allow him his vision of Germany being a neutral power taking the backseat in foreign affairs. And would allow germany far more diplomatic flexibility, it may also mean no world war ever.

Thank you for making my suggestion! I donated 100$ back then during the Jingle Jam with the prompt "What if the Holy Alliance (Prussia+Austria+Russia) didn't end?" I realize that my scenario i pretty much impossible, but was always fascinated by the alliance and how it might work in a alternate WW1. Again, thanks for making my suggestion and keep on making Videos as awesome as this!

I honestly think a war would only break out in the 1890s - 1900s as i have trust in Bismarck as a master Diplomat.
But with Wilhelm II beeing more reckless and Nicholas II wanting to prove himself it finally happens.
And by then the Holy Alliance is obviously the favourite

I am unsure whether an Italian War against Austria would happen in a way similar to our own timeline because Sardinia Piedmont gained a lot of their diplomatic reputation from their participation in the Crimean War, which doesn't happen. This was key to the eventual agreement signed between them and France. If anything, they probably just wait until Austria has another 1848 style uprising or ends up in a war with another power to attack.
