How To Save A Water Damaged Cell Phone With Rice

In this video, I show you how to save a water damaged cell phone with rice. It is a really simple process, and all that you need is a towel, a container, and some rice. You can actually use the rice for cooking once you are finished using it to draw the moisture out of the cell phone (assuming that you would be boiling the rice, of course). This method allowed me to save my previous blackberry from water damage! This is the perfect way to save your cell phone if it fell into a pool or toilet!

It works!!! I dropped my phone into a water-filled basin, and it was still functioning initially. However, the short circuit did occurred which meant the screen of my phone turn green and black instead of my original wall paper. Then, I faster switched it off, and put it into the uncooked-rice container for 24 hours. I did used air-dryer(only air mode/little hot mode) to dry the phone twice in the middle when I took it out and dry for 20 minutes. Luckily it works!!! My phone still functioning well until today.

You can also mix a little salt with the rice, which will make the obsorbtion even better and quicker. Although you might want to cover or plug the headphone jack with something to prevent the salt from getting clogged in there. If you have like a can of air it's easily blown out though after everything dries.
