1 ministers salary including benefits amounts to at least 5 teachers salary, kodwa government doesn't have money. This pains me as one of qualified teacher seating at home.

Compulsive school attendance - excellent law. Then the clowns get rid of many teaching posts for financial reasons.... Really? A circus without a tent....

First you need to get the current schools in proper shape, get the finances in place - shortages of teachers and supplies. And it will be come more as you cant pay them. Don’t we need to get this first sorted. You can't have dysfunctional schools and add more financial pressure.

Post elections, the ANC is trying to address issues that should have been properly addressed immediately post 94. Now they are scrambling going about things in a radical way to make up for lost time.

With all the issues in South Africa right now was this particular Bill REALLY needed! We have a chronic problem of too many laws without the resources or competence to implement them! Resulting in fragmentation with the vast majority of the country simply ignoring the law!
