The down side of at least the single motor C40 I think is the suspension. I think it is just too soft and squiggy (technical term). The vehicle I drove was just not planted on the road and the steering a bit vague. This is a terrible shame because otherwise the vehicle is very nice. Maybe in the 2024 model, due May this year, Volvo will have improved the suspension. I understand they have improved the efficiency from 21 kWh per 100km in the 2023 model to 17.4 kWh per 100km in the 2024 model.

It’s nice that the model Y is the king that every other ev wants to unseat now. I drove the “bigger “ xc40 and it’s nice. Not as much range as the Tesla. Not as much cargo space. The back seat is huge in the Y. And the price was about the same. When you add in the hepa filter and dual pane glass in the Y. And. The supercharger network of Tesla and the fact that new Ys can also use the same network as Volvo with an adapter. It’s not even a competition. I live Volvo and want a real competitor. But Volvo is not there yet.

Volvo is a scam! My 2023 Volvo has a steering wheel that vibrates very badly, making it quite annoying and UNSAFE to drive, and Volvo doesn’t want to fix it.
