I have a 2 stroke mx bike and I also have a surron. It's like a mountain bike and dirtbike at the same time. The best of both worlds. The speed and torque of a dirtbike, yet the quietness of a mountain bike so no one can get mad at you. It truly enables you to ride everyday without getting the cops called on you.

It's not an E-bike, it's an electric motorcycle. It has pegs. Put pedals on it then it becomes an E-bike. Not my definition. It is the definition according to the DOT. Im 6'4" 260lb so to big for that ride. Looking at the Rad fat tire. Be safe and wear a helmet.

People hate it in the U.K. not because of the bike but because of who usually rides it.

An actual E-Bike, one that's the same as that but with a pedal, will be very useful for me to get around town on short trips that doesn't really need car/motorcycle fuel to get wasted on. The pedal would be useful if you run out of battery too.

Facts! As long as you can ride and still have a smile on your face and not in a squad car. Why does it matter what it is? Everyone finds enjoyment in different things.no need for judgment

Mountian bikers only hate when you use it on non motorized trails

They are very fun bikes my only complaint is people who ride them on non ebike Mtb trails. Most Mtb specific trails have very low budgets and are volunteer maintained.

“Mountain bikers swear it’s not a mountain bike” I mean that’s because it’s not, and in many places you wouldn’t be allowed it on an mtb or pedal bike trail. It has way to much power and speed to be safe for other riders in that situation and the tracks arnt designed for it.

It is however absolutely a motorbike through. Mostly due to its motor. Anyone who says it’s not because it’s electric is being an idiot.

But like you said it’s riding and having fun that’s the most important. Stay safe and enjoy it

I hated them until I bought one 😂 the spots I’ve found and gas I’ve saved riding it is insane. Not to mention fun as hell to ride

They don’t have pedal power like a mountain bike, but they also aren’t big enough to be considered a motorcycle, and are built to withstand pretty much the same stuff dirt bikes do, therefore it’s just an electric dirt bike

I’ve always thought of it as a mix of the two, but now that you compare it to a pit bike that makes way more sense. You can’t do big mtb sized drops or rock gardens on it, or big Mx jumps, but it’s just for riding around on the streets and having fun. Kinda like a mix of a pit bike and a supermoto

It’s not a bicycle if it doesn’t have two pedals that require you to turn them to move it’s a motorcycle!!!

Some have mtb forks and brakes but they're still not mtbs. They're missing pedals and cranks for a start
