I know many advisors say investing in a traditional 401k isn’t that great because it’s taxed at the end. This is my experience, 1st invested in 1986 until 1996, possibly put 150k into it until I had to find another job because that job was phased out. Well by 2019 it was worth 975k. I never borrowed against it, never panicked and took it out of growth type investments no matter what the stock market did in those years . I was lucky enough that we had Fidelity to begin the investment. Now it’s worth more and I retired and changed it around to take dividends from it only and it easily provides 50k a year and if I wanted could kick out quite a bit more if we choose. Yes it is taxed now but I got free growth untaxed for so many years and still grows tax free. I know this sounds like a tiny amount of money to many but I live very comfortable now with ss, a small pension and a nice dividend portfolio. Remember the tax you pay isn’t all those deductions you once had out of your paycheck either. It’s state and federal taxes that’s it. God bless

The worst, and most enduring, advice that I ever got from someone who loves me and meant well..."If you're not going to do it perfectly it is not worth doing." It has crippled me and I am working on getting out of that mindset. It's so challenging to let go of early "lessons" and events. Thank you for sharing your content. I watch your videos just about every single day and I am always learning from them. I figure that I have to get into Real Estate and Rentals to have a form of retirement later on, so I'm taking the free portion of Real Estate classes and will enroll after I get through it. I enjoy the idea, and I already did Home Inspection certification so I know that will make me a better Agent for my clients and a better Landlord and Rental buyer. I will get out of this poverty mindset...I am getting out of it. Thank you so much for your help.
