How Respawn BETRAYED the Titanfall community

I mean to garner no hate or unjust disregard for the hard workers at Respawn Entertainment, I'm just a sad gamer who wants his game to make a comeback. The 7th Anniversary is a big milestone for the community I wish you will maintain hope that one day soon, we'll see an update worthy of our gametime.

In spite of Respawn Entertainment's claims, Titanfall is NOT at the core of their DNA

so we got 8 new gamemodes and 2 maps were added to frontier defence. Its alot more than what i was expecting. All of this was done by the Janitor. 1 guy. I wouldnt be surprised if respawn are either unaware or didnt even tell him to do what he did.

Check out the new aegis modes. Adds the frontier defense upgrades to titan brawl now. Respawn pretty much nuclear ejected all over the titan meta with this update. All titans are brought low by Ion. It’s so fun. I definitely think that adds much more depth to titan brawl and even last titan standing. I haven’t even checked out the other modes I was too distracted.

The relationship between Respawn and the Titanfall community is like a dad going to get the milk, starting a new family then when he gets bored, tries to go back to the old family. Or like a toxic relationship.

I’m honestly not sure if it is over or not. Respawn is known for doing things a little bit different than other studios, like just shadow dropping one of the most popular BR games and stuff like that. I think all of this teasing is actually leading somewhere, because it would be easier to just say, that they aren’t developing TF3 but are fixing TF2 so that the fans have something to come back to, seeing how popular Northstar is on PC. Also 7 years is a very odd age to celebrate a anniversary. Why not at 5 or 10 years? And all those ‘3’s they were dropping everywhere… I don’t know man, I don’t want to take my pills yet, I have the bottle in my hand, but I’m not taking anything from it yet. The lack of denial still gives me hope, EA loves to play it safe so they would not let it slide if there wasn’t anything happening behind the scenes that. They would be way to scared of too much negative backlash, so I see that this was a test, if the players would come back to the game and god damn they did. My hopes are still up!

Even though I may be on intense copium, I won’t be giving up hope until the game awards in December. Once those pass, my belief in a third game is going to plummet.

When I got up this morning and saw no real change it was really heartbreaking. Titanfall 2 is my favorite game and I really hopped that it would get the attention that it deserves. Hopefully Respawn decides to do something with it.

I like your takes. Even one new titan would be awesome just scrap brute idea and people would be excited again. Or give us proper spectator tools and we make this game actually very enjoyable to watch esport

I mean to be fair a lot of it was just based on speculation and coincidences. Nothing was really concrete or confirmed we were even getting a new game to begin with. I think with respawn recently updating titanfall 2 fans were convinced themselves that we were getting a new game when in reality we weren’t.
