A Subscriber called Fred asked if I would be able to take a look at a Sena SP46 Motorcycle, which wouldn't turn on after a battery replacement. There was quite a significant amount of damage, so let's see if it's even possible to repair it....

I'm not an expert, but I do enjoy trying to fix things.

Fixing the remains of other people's "repairs" - you have my sincere sympathy.

I can't believe what the post system did to the plug and trace lines I spent over 4 hours installing. Also, that gasket is why I had to take it apart so many times. Thank you Mick You are a Mericle worker, and I will forever be in your service,

I think most people would have just walked away after seeing the damage to the pads. Well done.

The fiddlyness (fiddlyness is a word, right?) of that repair was painful to watch and at the start I thought it would be too much even for you, but you proved me wrong with another fantastic repair, well done.

Wow
I probably would have told him to spend 200 and buy a good used one. New there 5-600.00. i understand the challenge of it and am guilty of spending way too many hours until ive completed a repair or a work around. Imagine if we actually got paid hourly.

Once again you repair the impossible. I really enjoy watching your videos and learn from every video.

Holy cow! You should get some sort of award for that microscopic track repair! Bad product design that needs the 2 boards separating to get at the battery connector... unless they were designing it to get easily broken to sell more. I bet you were well chuffed when all your PCB work was completed. Amazing work.

I think a bit of flux will help keep those traces from flying away while trying to position them. Love your show sir.

It's a bit difficult to understand difficulty when something goes right. You only REALLY appreciate what the gentleman is trying to fix, when you see how the gentleman from the US tried to fix it. Then it becomes clear. Buy it Fix it is an electronics repair artist. Nice work, sir. (Yes I can comment on the gentleman from the US, because I am from the US).

Q- Should I give these trace repair strips a try? A- Nope, not a chance.
Great repair. Well done (as always).

Hi Mick - nice repair. If you use your grinding tool you can do it linke me and grind in IPA. So you have less dust spreading around and a nicer view during grinding.

A good eye and steady hands you've got there bro. Even under a microscope that was some fidgety work. Your patience is becoming legendary, sometimes I lose it just watching😉 Those PCB replacement traces are thinner than a hair and weigh nothing, surprised you could get them to work, well done. Working on someone else's bodged attempt is the worst, the damage is usually doubled or worse. Great video and job on the repair, this time it was all mechanical but highly entertaining. Thanks. See ya soon.

That looks like something I could have done, but I promise it wasn't me, it would have been completely unrepairable If I have attempted to repair it. A great recovery right there my friend. Awesome repair.
