I'm so glad to hear that there are people other than myself that feel the childish behavior and comments made by a representative of the United States should not be tolerated. Many of our leaders are disrespectful and refuse to work with one another. To be a leader they need to act like one . It is their behavior that influences all Americans. If they can't get along, neither will we ! It's time for a change and it begins with who we want to represent America.

And we wonder why a lot of the world laughs at us and our political discourse.... This incident and others like it are absolutely gross. Full stop. Remember though, it doesn't just come from the Republican party, it comes from all sides, typically from the far ends of the political spectrum.

Whatever happened to having a measured response to something? Whatever happened to working for the greater good of the country and it's citizens? What ever happened to having civil discussion without yelling or throwing names/labels around? Whatever happened to lifting your fellow citizens up when they were down? Whatever happened to respecting others and their opinions (especially when they don't even affect you)? Whatever happened to thinking about someone other than yourself or putting yourself in someone else's shoes too see how things effect them? I could keep going on and on but I think you get the point I am trying to make.

I think some of our most revered Presidents from history would look at us today and be extremely disappointed in our behavior, beliefs and how we treat others that we disagree with.
I really hope that we can all put aside our differences, stand together and actually enact the changes President Biden has proposed. Being an American is so much more too me than just making money. To me, it's about making the lives of all of our citizens better, not just for a select group. When we lift up the lowest rung of our society, we lift all of us up together. You can tell a lot about a country/culture from how they treat the lowest in their society.
