I had the honour of meeting Mr. Sinclair after a show the 'Hip played at 9:30 Club in DC. He is so down to earth and was very generous with his time, to meet with a fanboy from Canada.

Gord Sinclair's bass was so essential to the Hip sound.
Never more so than on 'Day For Night', their greatest album imo. 'Grace Too', 'Yawning or Snarling', 'Scared'--there's the bass lurking just below the surface, dark & mysterious as Gord Downie's lyrics.

I was born in the late 80s in NY and I can’t think of a memory that these guys werent present for. Every back woods party and every long drive. They were even mixed into our skateboarding tunes. It’s astonishing that something they created can be a part of so many different stories. Thank you so much.
