Oakland police say 8 people shot, 1 killed at gas station Monday evening

Oakland police confirm eight people were shot and one was killed Monday evening at a gas station at Seminary Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. Police are looking at information that a music video was being recorded as the shooting happened.

Say what you want about guns, I am not an NRA member or 2nd amendment enthusiast, but there is a blatant disregard for life out there. If there were fewer guns, we would still plenty of people with no regard for life of others. There is a pervasive sickness in this country, of many with no regard for others. Placing a blame on guns, does not address the underlying sickness we see too often. Getting rid of guns, will not change how certain people are. I have no idea what the answer is to this insanity.
