How to water your new sod

Proper watering is the most important thing you can do for your new sod. Daily watering until the sod is rooting is necessary. ...mmm use a 4 tine pitch fork and put a load of holes in each piece of new sod ... it allows the water to get to the roots fast and it helps to break up the tightly packed sods soil to allow the roots to grow into the soil below it !

Why did the sod company tell me to water twice daily for two weeks, then once daily for two weeks?

I just got some Bermuda SOD planted on March 16 and it was looking great and fully green. Now we are in the end of April and I got a lot of brown spots all over my help!! I live in West Texas....I have water restrictions and can only water 3 times a week. I do my best to water and I water in the mornings....Still no success. Please let me know what else I can do. This coming saturday will be my 6 weeks into my lawn and will need to fertilize the lawn. What do you suggest for me to get? I was thinking of going 10-10-10 but not quite sure. Thank you.

Seems like every sod company has their own perspective on watering new sod, I’m Confused on who to believe lol. My guys told me 20 mins morning and 20 mins evening 🤷🏽. Others say water it really good for hours

Our sod company legit said in the instructions “you can’t water sod too much!”

We had new bahai installed, I was watering it properly as instructed after 2 weeks my husband did the lawn and cut it way too short. I told him he's not to cut it yet. What should I do? Keep watering it twice a day or 3?

I had St Augistine sod installed the people that installed did not do anything to my existing lawn just placed the sod on top of existing lawn . Will this work will my sod die will it take root?
