We are sisters, Julia and Anastasia Vanderbyl. A few years ago, we began a journey to live a life in perfect harmony with nature. A life of caring for animals, growing fruit, planting trees, gardening, cooking, creating, building and learning to live with the land.
In this time, nature has taught us more than we could have ever imagined.

Our environmental films document the landscape, the lessons we’ve learnt and our work as regenerative farmers here on Bundjalung Country.

We live on the land of the Arakwal and Minjungbal People of the Bundjalung Nation. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Country we live on and recognise their continuing connection to the land and waters. We thank them for protecting this rainforest and its ecosystems since time immemorial.

The only beauty I see in the world is through your eyes there in the mountains. I find such peace, calm when I watch it videos. To watch you and your sister picking fresh fruit from the trees to growing your gardens to seeing how well you treat your animals. You are truly amazing and one of my favorite videos I watch and look forward to each week.

I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Our area was hit by an unprecedented and devastating hurricane a few weeks ago. Many are still without water or power, roads are destroyed, entire towns have been washed away, and people are still stranded.

Not to mention the number of lives that have been lost. Amid all of this, volunteers and line workers from all over the country and Canada have swarmed in to help. No politics, no judgment of differences… We are doing this as a community.

Seeing the amount of tireless support and love and witnessing my beloved home in the aftermath, it is the contrast of this incredible love that gives me absolute hope that we can rebuild.❤

My wife and I are living in a food forest in central California. We make home made wine and are picking fresh home grown fruit every day year around. we had a very hot summer where the heat got 115 degrees more than once. Life is a amazing adventure. Phoenix, AZ is peppered with nature preserves. I spent years hiking many times a week in the desert preserves around the northern edge of Phoenix. Large, many trails. You can spend hours hiking. Hills to climb with great views from top. Rattlesnakes. Vibrant colors in some seasons. I wish I was still there.

Thank you Julia and Anastasia for taking care of the food sources in your area, God's animals. The animals are blessed to have both of you to oversee their development, care. In your area, do have issues with Ticks getting on the animals, your dog too and be careful that the ticks don't attach to the both of you ? The long dresses that both of you wear may be helpful to keep the ticks from you. Check yourself often after walking through tall grass outside. I went camping in a park on a long weekend and when I returned to work Monday, one of the Massage Therapist that I work with at the Physical Therapy Clinic found one on my back that I didn't notice was there. My boss removed it.
