Great work! Working with a samplet and Excel 365, the very first formula becomes =MAXIFS($E$2:$E$11, $B$2:$B$11, $H3), and next one =INDEX($A$2:$A$11, XMATCH(MAXIFS($E$2:$E$11, $B$2:$B$11, $H3), $E$2:$E$11, 1)). Also works if using MINIFS,

Thanks. Suppose we have max value from a number of columns, how we can locate it. I have Various accounting heads vertically (1 row), and 12 months from jan to dec horizontally (12 columns) . My aim is to find the maximum spent item from the twelve months and to find which month and item the max value belong to. Kindy help me.

It helped a lot, but if you have multiple entries with the same Index, it will display the first encountered not all the players that have the same score
