Trying to teach my 22 year old garage opener some new tricks with the Chamberlain myQ Smart Garage Hub. Now compatible with Amazon key for in-garage deliveries, the Smart Hub adds new features to old garage door openers.

Awesome! I just found one of these at a second hand store for 99 cents

If your hub won't PAIR with your garage motor, use another color button. for instance my button color was red.
When I talked with support she had me use the yellow button, something to do with the year my liftmaster door opener was made.
So after trying for two days to pair the two we got it done in 10 minutes.
Even though the door opener was another model under the yellow button it still paired.

can you lock it so the any other remotes won't work, say your car parked outside, break in and they can use the remote to get into the garage.

We just bought 1 off Amazon for $27. Works great, easy set up.

My problem is that the app sucks it loads too slow, opening and closing garage takes too long, they need to fix that.

Thanks for the video. Were you able to mount the hub at least the 4 feet away from metal specified in instructions? It seems unreasonable to expect this since most folks will plug it into the ceiling receptacle near both the motor, tracks, and hardware associated with the door.

Do the batteries on the sensor ever have to be replaced ?

How do you get the center led light to turn on or is it just for night time?

Can one myq unit open and close multiple garage doors (I do know an additional sensor would be required, which is fine)?

Will it notify you that the garage door is open even if you opened it with a traditional keypad instead of a phone or something?

So even if you have an old opener that doesn't have wifi you won't need to connect the hub directly to the opener with cords? Does this mean the hub outputs the same signal as a remote would to control the opener?

I have 2 Garage doors with 2 motors do I need 2 door sensors ? Or Hub will do just fine ?

So you still need the original garage door opener as a backup in case your home internet is unavailable.

I think it would be great for the light to stay on or be controllable, is there any way to do that?

9 to 5 Toys... if you slow the video down to .25 speed your serial number is visible. Hope this doesn’t mess up anything if someone was to try and use it maliciously. I don’t know if anyone could or couldn’t do anything with it if they don’t have access to your network??? Just a heads up. Nice video by the way!!!

When you held the learn button too long and wiped out your numbers, how did you get them back? I did the same thing...
