I needed to use this trimmer for the first time. First time for any trimmer, in fact. It belongs to my son, who's not in town, but my yard was looking like the little shop of horrors so I had to figure it out. Of course it had no trimmer string in it :) With your instructions though, I was able to load the string and actually use it. The string I purchased was round, not triangular, and when I heard you recommend triangular I thought heck, I messed up. But it worked just fine. Thank you!
Sincerely,
69-year-old Tool-Avoidant Female.

Thank you!! I watched and followed along and now I’m about to get back out there and finish weed eating!

Thank you for a very informative and simple fix! Was about to go back to Lowe's but decided to give YouTube a try. Your instructions were perfect, especially battery removal first! Very much appreciated!!!

Thank you for this video, my husband works so much and I want to help around the yard and I had never been shown how to do this! You made it so simple and easy to follow and I successfully replaced the string!

Thanks! The store said to just pop the replacement spool in and that doesn’t work at all! So I watched you do it manually! The thumb trick worked.

Thank you this was very simple and easy to follow. I am recently divorced so I don’t have a man around the house to do these things for me and since my brothers and father have passed I have had to learn to do all the things they did around the house for myself, so thank you for this.

I have never liked restringing any weed eater. After watching your video I put my ‘I can do this’ hat on. Confidence is just oozing thru my veins.
I’ll add a number later to admit how many attempts it takes.
1*
I got the string in the spool on my first attempt. Then I realized I must have the other weed eater head. One attempt with the corrected head as well.
Thanks again for your help. Now my wife will think I can do anything, again.

My main problem is taking off the cap. I thought I was doing it wrong, but after watching your tape I decided I may have smaller hands and less strength to press the two buttons, but after a struggle I manage. Thanks for the instructions.

Man…. I hate to admit I almost gave up on this because I couldn’t figure out how to reload the string. Thanks for the video.

Thanks again for sharing. Had to come back here to see how it's done.
I think it's good that you take out the battery. Who would want their hands anywhere near that line should the trigger be pressed by accident. 🤕

The fact that there's 111k views is a pretty good indicator that Kobalt is cutting costs in R&D
