Here’s a tip for newbies like me who have 0% understanding of the inner workings of a weed eater. Take the cap off the end when you stick the string through. It’s much easier to see what you’re doing and understand the concept. This cleared a lot of frustration for me. After I stuck the string through and got it coming out both holes I put the cap back on before twisting
