Fun fact: The reason that scene is such a good depiction of what flavor is is because they actually hired someone with Synesthesia, a disorder that basically lets you see/feel other senses. They told them to draw what taste looks like.

That scene was actually partially made by someone who had synesthesia, a condition that can make you associate senses in unusual ways. Synesthesia can take many forms (seeing sounds being one of the most famous examples), but in this case, the artist could see taste. That is, when they are tasting something, they would see a bunch of colours associated with that flavour in their mind, just like Remy.

I recommend reading more about synesthesia. It’s fascinating

Ratatouille is one of the greatest Pixar creations, and it's so heartwarming and cosy, I was walking around with a silly grin on my face after seeing it for the first time. Fills you woth positivity. I think, I'll go and rewatch it now! 😊

Ratatouille definitely inspired a generation of cooks…my goto is jam on a brioche bun, lemon-ranch chicken melt. When you prioritize flavor over conventional cooking things can get strange lol

I don't eat meat but apple slices are a GOD TIER addition to a grilled cheese!! Little sweet, little crunch, it goes with practically any cheese SO well. I slice very very thin, sort of like deli slices but with apple, and layer a few on top of each other between the cheese, I find it stays together like that the best and also is the best texture when you're biting into it.
