The doc ruler is "strange", in that it has the gray areas created by the margins. You've cleared that up for me! Thanks!

I have an issue where some accidental movement of my fingers in the haptic pad of my Mac cause this weird change in the dimensions of my document. The menu looks tiny and cut-off and appearance of my document looks squeezed together on thinner page. I have been trying to use control + z and restore settings, but nothing is working.

That would be great, but you don't get the ruller or tool bar when using Docs on a Chromebook. You just get a typing panel with no editing features.

Can anyone help me I just starting putting pictures in Google docs there small problem I got space line just right. Now problem is column line buggy crap out of me, column 0.5 it seem standard. I change value either way up wider goes same down number .Just letting you know I didn’t use tables I just kept loading pictures after one after one. I tried Google my problem all I got back about tables. I use Google Sheets

I have to edit a google doc which has had multiple editors. It's a mess. Various indents. And it's a ibe hundred page doc. First line and left indent are all different. Editing each line will of 100 pgs will take forever. So how can I unify all of them at once to clean this up? Thanks.

When I copy text from other source and paste in Docs, all the lines break & distort (words 1 below the other) and I have to manually merge them into I single line. Please tell how to merge / join multiple lines into single line.

When I copy and paste from a pdf it is keeping the pdf's layout so I have 2-word lines for example but I want all the text to align the way I have it in my google doc as a normal justified paragraph. How do I do that? That's what I'm searching for, thanks.

How do you set up the space between your header text and the first line of paragraph as well as the last paragraph and footer (on each page). Right now they are too close to each other. Thanks.

okay so i made 2 columns, and now i want a sentence to be in the center of the page ( as in the usual center alignment ) but the sentence is going in either of the columns instead of being at the center ( pls i hope u get what i mean, i'm sorry if the explanation is bad ) so any ways on how to do that?
