So in regards to the mortars. If they are small 60mm mortars, then they impact with the force of a hand grenade. As such the explosion in the trailer is like an f1 that just didn't hit. The POSSIBLE kill range is of course much higher. If they add 120mm mortars you are just dead. Lots more boom in there.

The sr3m is not inferior, it is a straight upgrade, the as val was dropped after they invented the sr3m and they stuck with it, i think its better in every way

5:03 2(3) other potential ways tripwires can be dangerous/usefull
1)separating squads and in general temporarily restricting movement through chokepoints (i.e. Dorms corridors). Not a danger by itself, but, if laid correctly, will force you to push alone into people who likely know you are coming.
2)killing people going through dead-end chokepoints (i.e. Dorm rooms closest to side entrances). If you trip it you either explode, or have to expose yourself to an enemy, who has probably just started pre-firing your head.
3)If you can't somewhat remotly (i.e. by shooting the wire) disarm or trigger them, they will, in some places, become movement blockers (i.e. Dorms rooms; if you need to sit in the corridor for, like, 2s to disarm, you aren't doing it, thus the room with the tripwire becomes inaccessible). If this is the case, that would suck.
Honorable mention goes to trapping chokepints where movement speed is significantly lowered (water in Reserve bunker, bushed-up hole in the wall near pocketwatch gas truck, entrace to ZB-011, ... idk, mb there are some other places)

I think the main use for the Grenade trip wires is going to be to prevent multiple people from running in at once.

The first person trips it and makes it past, the people behind him are the ones in danger.

I wish we got the M249 over the M60 since there are more options with the 249 to play with as using the standard belt mags and also AR mags. Maybe the M60 could use 50 round belts instead of 100 which would be a 2x1 instead of a 2x2 100 rounds belt
