Hi Tim. I've been watching your channel intently since I discovered it less than a year ago. I think I've watch almost all of your videos (I don't sleep well) and I find your authenticity to be so true. I love how excited you get!!! I can actually hear it in your voice - "Awesome!". Maybe it's been said before in your multitude of chats, but you have that Bob Ross / Fred Rogers vibe (not the same - but the vibe) and it's what the world needs right now. Timothy I’m so excited. I watched one of your older videos on the Montblanc 149 and the best way to buy one. I finally found a vintage one for a reasonable price and after months of longing and waiting I finally have one on the way. Started my fountain pen journey with Pilot: Pilot Varsity, Pilot Explorer, and Pilot Kakuno. None of them have ever failed to write at the first try and being inked up for months! Can't wait to try more!

The knife bit was funny too. Yes, sometimes we cut things that don't really need to be cut, just because we like to use a favorite knife.

I love Pilot. My Grail is the Myu 701. This week, I received a couple of bargain Pilot pocket pens I had not properly appreciated: The Telescopic, and the Birdie. The Telescopic is a dream of a pen, with a lovely gold nib.

Hey, HJ. I do know that Drew has struggled with making appearances at pen shows. He has said so, himself. He is a self described introvert who needs a certain amount of solitary time, and he doesn't get that, at these events. Mabe he just needed a break? Let's hope that's all it is. I agree with you; Drew is a lovely, warm human being. His smile lights up the room. In other news, I see you're wearing your 'autumn' shirt. I like Pilot, even though I don't have their expensive pens. I do have; and enjoy; the E95s, the Prera, the Metropolitan, and the Plume. I requested a pen for review, from Goldspot and was told that they would keep me in mind. That's preferable to an outright refusal. 😂 AliJ's package looks like it came via Owl Post from Hogwarts.

Ink color suggestion for burgundy vanishing point: recently received Sailor Oku-Yama. Contrary to all the ink swatches I’ve seen online it is not neon…it’s darker and has some pop. It’s a beautiful ink to write with in terms of flow (use it in several different pens). Also Syrah might be good too since it it more “burgundy” than Oxblood and Writers blood in my opinion. Another fav fir burgundy pens is Private Reserve Black Cherry 😊
