Growing up, we would only go to Chuck E Cheese when we had coupons. We would get 100 tokens and split it between the 6 of us, so it was a lot cheaper.

If you go on their website, they usually have coupons available.

I used to work at one down here in SoCal and yes the prices are def high. Those pizzas, however, are made to order. We prepare the dough fresh every morning. It's a simple process that uses large bags of "Pre-Mix" mixed with water and mixed in a giant mixer. Our only cooking appliance is the conveyor pizza oven. Everything from French Fires to Chicken Wings is cooked on that, hence why the fries differ from other restaurants since we don't have a deep fryer. Kitchen Cast Members prepare fresh produce every week as well.
