Using Chuck E. Cheese tokens in 2023

I go to a Chuck E. Cheese's in 2023 and try to use the now retired tokens to see if they would still work after they were removed. #chuckecheese

I remember the tokens. I wish they still had them because most arcades mainly use cards and not tokens and it would be unique if they still had them.

I grew up using them. There is one of those coin pusher games that still uses them . I kept four of them from it and they're awesome.

EDIT: I found a bag of old tokens at a sale the other day for 10$ they're super cool

i still have a ton of em in my piggy bank that i got from 2014-2016 on easter, although most of the tokens were from the 2000s.

Fun fact check E Cheese's now getting rid of all the animatronics shows and replacing them with cheap dance floors say goodbye to all your favorite memories there as it will no longer be any popular as it was before with the animatronic characters around

BRO, I remember going into a chuck, e cheese and I didn't really care for the food (I would like to hear someone say they actually liked the food) but I remember just wanting to play the games. I got excited and was looking for the token dispenser. When I couldn't find it my sister handed me the card and I asked "what is this a gift card." She then explained to me that this is what you use play the games now. I and the first thing I said was this "Well shit now I can't use these." And pulled my pocket full of token's. I would steal them and I thought they still used them.

They also used to have tickets but you can just use a card and a machine and go up to a prize center and get your prize with no cup of tokens OR tickets

I have a couple of pill bottles full of the tokens. I also have a Dairy Queen cardboard token redeemable for a free Daily bar, cone or other certain treats. I showed it to an employee last year and they had never seen one before.
