The Death Of NBA Superteams

The premise of an NBA superteam is simple. Assemble a collection of stars together through trades or free agency in order to win a championship. But, with expectations so lofty, the ugly reality of superteams rears its ugly head. At its ceiling, a superteam will achieve short-term success, but will ultimately achieve what it was set out to do: win a championship. We've seen this with the Big 3 Boston Celtics, Big 3 Miami Heat, and Fantastic Four Golden State Warriors. However, the floor of NBA superteams is a thing of absolute nightmares because of Murphy’s Law: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
