Review: 2019 RAM 2500 Laramie (Diesel)

I review this $78,000 RAM 2500 Laramie with the 6.7L Cummins turbodiesel engine. With 850 lb/ft of torque and some very impressive capabilities, the RAM 2500 is already a strong competitor in this segment. When you add in its best-in-class interior and handsome styling, it quickly jumps to the top of the pack for those looking for a more plush heavy-duty truck. What do you think of these, and would you take it over the Chevy and Ford competition? Thanks to RAM for providing this truck to review!

I love these Rams. The 1500 is at the top of my list for my next vehicle. Another great review, man.

A lot of people don't know is that the Ram 1500 crew cab interior is bigger than the Ram 2500 crew cab... The Ram 2500 still uses the old cab from the previous generation but just upgraded the interior. The Ram 1500 uses a totally new cab. Only the mega cab has a larger interior.

I have a 2018 F-250 and it doesn’t really downshift like a gasoline engine truck when I mash the accelerator. However I fell like it doesn’t even need to downshift because it pulls like crazy in whatever gear it’s in.

These trucks are tuned for emissions, delete the emissions and with a tune they are a complete different animal, no more dead pedal and no turbo lag.

Matt: I gave it a lot of gas. Diesel engine: “YOU WHAT!?”

Great review. My favorite will be the Laramie longhorn with the night edition.

One suggestion with the transmission. When you commented on the shifts. You should have put it in towhual mode and see if there's a difference. Love your channel been watching since you first bought the bra! 🤘😀

Mid 8 sec for 0-60 ain’t slow Matt - take it from us Aussies - Ranger Raptor - much lighter and smaller is mid 10... that is slow!

This is the ultimate truck . A lot of dough but one epic ride

Can definitely see the effort being made to mix up your format but, for me personally, it felt a bit drawn out during the interior section.
Some people will love that though I'm sure.

Best of luck in 2020 bud 👍

The transmission tuning has always been an issue with the late model Cummins Rams, most look to tuners for better transmission tuning. I own one and it was a great review!

You forgot the in floor storage bins in the rear. I've been "building" 1500 and 2500 Rams on their website and I get a different price every time, even though I select the same options. Speaking of options, I hate how you can't get certain things unless you get a certain package. Examples: You can't get the power running boards unless you get Level 2. You can't get two tone interior with a Sport Appearance package. If you want the Adaptive Cruise, you need to get Level 2 Equipment Group. Level 2 costs $4, 000 and only adds heated rear seats, wireless charging and the HK audio over the $1600 Level 1 package. Want tow hooks? You need to get them with a transfer case skid plate. Want the Snow Chief Group? That includes trans. case skid plate. Are you paying twice for the skid plate?

2:50 those are the same steering wheel buttons used in the 2011-14 chargers and challengers

Handsome truck for sure but I don't need the big screen or the diesel engine, keep the videos coming sir. 6.4 would be perfect

The old gen switches and cab design looks odd given that the 1500 is all new, whereas the 2500/3500 is just a refresh of the old model.

Rented a Pacifica recently and pretty much had to floor it to get some downshifts happening.
